The Water

I set my feet upon the mountain
lest I sink in the frightening sea
north by north out of fear of drowning
the water is catching up with me

I left my heart inside a fountain
the angels spouting a mighty stream
more and more the dark is surrounding
the water tethers me to the deep

Three Years

We were wed beneath
the weeping trees.
I wept for you
and you wept for me.

With family, friends,
and enemies.
We said the words
and exchanged the rings.

We were fed beneath
the weeping trees.
My flesh for you
and your flesh for me.

Its three years now
and I cannot seem
to cope with our
anniversary.
