Black

I was the oak and
you were the fire.
I, a black parade, and
you, a burning pyre.

I was the birds and
you were the wire.
I, a black murder, and
you, an occupier.

Blue/Truth

It’s all out in the open
skyline blue
I’m not hiding the truth

It’s all set into motion
on the move
and nothing’s stopping you

It’s all a sinking ocean
nightlight hue
deep waves of solitude

It’s all without emotion
eyes of blue
you’re not finding the truth

The Water

I set my feet upon the mountain
lest I sink in the frightening sea
north by north out of fear of drowning
the water is catching up with me

I left my heart inside a fountain
the angels spouting a mighty stream
more and more the dark is surrounding
the water tethers me to the deep
